THANKS TO OUR DONORS
While exploring the possibilities of reconnecting Marsh Fork High School alumni via the internet, two or three options came to light. One was to create a group page where anyone could write anything they wanted and post it. This was ruled out because we would have no control over what was “Put up.” A former colleague, Charles T. Bradford ‘59, referred me to Gracie Stover ’66, one of our former students from our teaching days Marsh Fork in the mid 60's.
Gracie now lives in Wichita, KS and does extensive research on Raleigh County and West Virginia. You can find her work at The Raleigh County, WV Website, Family History and Genealogy, and the West Virginia Coal Mining Site.
It took only a few short emails with Gracie to realize that she was very competent in web site building. The result of those emails is our very own web site, www.marshfork.com. By having our own registered domain, we can control what goes on the site. Gracie is our web master and she alone has access to post entries. Another benefit is that we have unlimited space for printed material and photos.
Our costs for the project included purchasing the domain (www.marshfork.com), paying yearly fees and website development. The word went out to as many alumni as we could reach and contributions started coming in. A world of thanks go to the following who contributed to make this project possible:
